On May 21st, China's first 165-ton Qinghai-Tibet Railway bridge-laying special flat car was successfully developed at the CNR Lanzhou Locomotive Works. The 165-ton bridge-laying flat car is the first key piece of equipment tailored for the construction of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway passenger line. At the start of this year, the Lanzhou Locomotive Works of the China CNR Group signed a contract with the China Railway Wuhan Zhongtie Engineering Machinery Factory, leveraging its strong reputation and extensive experience in railway engineering. The agreement involved the production of 19 track-laying machines and bridge-erecting vehicles, which are essential for the project's success.
To meet the tight deadline set by the client—delivering the first unit before September 15—the Lanzhou plant mobilized its top technical team to complete the design drawings quickly and efficiently. In order to ensure that the first 165-ton flat car was ready by the end of May, the plant meticulously broke down the production tasks and provided full support in terms of materials, technology, and workforce coordination.
Through the combined efforts of the entire plant, China's first 165-ton bridge-laying special flat car was finally delivered to the factory on May 21, marking a major breakthrough in domestic railway infrastructure development.
