3-Alarm fire in Glendale Heights, 8-24-20

This is from Steve Redick:

When I arrived at the Glendale Heights fire, I saw a massive column of smoke stretching most of the way there. However, by the time I got there, the fire was already under control due to the long distance. The building had limited access to more than half of its structure, and the fire was burning intensely. I understand that there were two fatalities reported.

I had a great chance to capture some amazing photos of the fire apparatus and the scene.

It's always tough to see such a large fire, especially when lives are lost. The firefighters worked hard under difficult conditions, and it’s clear that this was a serious incident. I hope the community is receiving the support they need during this time. The photos I captured show the aftermath and the scale of the damage, which is a powerful reminder of how quickly things can change. If you're interested, you can view the full gallery to see more of the images I took. It’s important to remember the people affected and to stay informed about what happened.
