In 2011, Shanxi Coking Benzene Refinery Co., Ltd. formulated a technical renovation program, and completed six projects including improving the total refining rate of products, reforming the internals of xylene towers, adding dehydrators for crude benzene raw material tanks, etc., and reforming small projects. In view of the fact that the average annual total refining rate of the product was 97.43%, which was lower than the actual situation of the design index of 99%, the plant used it as a technology research project. Through the implementation of technological transformation and the strengthening of the supervision of the production process, the process indicators were strictly controlled and adjusted in time. The total refining rate of the product reached an average of 98.5% per month. If the annual processing of crude benzene is 90,000 tons, and the recovery rate is increased by 0.8%, the output of triphenyl can be increased by 720 tons per year. The average price of the product can be increased by 6,000 yuan, which can increase the profit by 4.32 million yuan.

The plant took advantage of the timing of replacing the catalyst with the hydrogen production system in May, and overhauled and reformed the internals of the xylene tower. The distilling section was changed from the original 20-layer tray to the 15-layer tray, and the amount of xylene contained in the product after the transformation was implemented for the first time. The design targets have solved the technical problems of low recovery rate of xylene products and unstable process operation since the car was started, and the xylene recovery rate has increased by 0.5% compared with that before the transformation.

Because the dehydration pipelines of three 3,000-m3 crude benzene raw material tanks are relatively coarse, the dewatering valves are difficult to control. When the crude benzene is dehydrated, especially when it is dehydrated to the water-benzene interface, the appearance of benzene and sewage is not easy to distinguish and can easily cause a large amount of benzene loss. . In order to completely solve this problem, the technical staff of the coking benzene refining plant added a set of dehydration devices to each of the three crude benzene tanks to recover the lost crude benzene and reduce the water pollution to the accident pool. After the crude benzene trough dehydration unit was put into operation, it was estimated that 15600 kg of crude benzene could be recovered per year, and 5,000 yuan per ton of crude benzene could be used for the company to achieve an annual profit of 78,000 yuan.
