Michelin Board Chairman Substitution

French tire manufacturer Michelin Group announced on the 11th that the group's general meeting of shareholders approved the same day managing partner Jean-Dominique Senal (Chinese name Sunnard) to replace Michelle Roillier (Chinese name He Liye) as the group board of directors The chairman is responsible for formulating the strategic direction of the group.

Raoliya was 67 years old and joined Michelin in 1996 as the group's chief legal officer and director of financial operations. In 2005, he became the group's general managing partner and, one year later, he became the group's sole general managing partner. Senal, aged 59, joined Michelin in March 2005 and served as chief financial officer. Since May 2007, he has been the managing partner of the group and in May 2011 he was the group's general managing partner. He became the first chairman of the board of directors from the Michelin heir family.

During his time as managing partner, Rauriel continued to strengthen traditional markets and expand into emerging markets, leveraging high-performance tire segmentation and leading positions in specialty tires, consolidating and balancing the global production and sales distribution.

Founded in 1889 in Clermont-Ferrand, a central city in France, Michelin has sales offices in more than 170 countries and territories around the world. It produces 180 million tires and 10 million maps and guides. It generated sales of approximately €20.7 billion in 2011. (About 26.8 billion U.S. dollars).
