Lemont FPD is added to the site

The Lemont Fire Protection District, part of MABAS Division 10, has recently been added to the site. Karl Klotz and Larry Shapiro captured a comprehensive photo session of the entire fleet and all four fire stations. The district operates two Crimson pumper trucks, one Ferrara rescue unit, and a Pierce quint. Each station is equipped with a Type I ambulance featuring Ford, Navistar, and Freightliner chassis units, all customized by Medtec and McCoy Miller. A recent image shows Truck 949, a key unit in the Lemont fleet. Station 1, the headquarters, also houses an air trailer and the MABAS Division 10 Water Rescue and Recovery trailer, highlighting the department's commitment to specialized emergency response. Another photo features the MABAS Division water rescue unit, demonstrating the district’s readiness for aquatic emergencies. Among the historical vehicles, there’s a 1982 American LaFrance Century engine, equipped with 500 gallons of water and a 1,500-GPM pump. This classic unit reflects the district’s long-standing firefighting heritage. Additionally, a 1983 American LaFrance Century Series 75-foot Water Chief Quint (1500/500) was also documented, showcasing the evolution of the department’s equipment over time. These images provide a valuable visual record of the Lemont Fire Protection District’s current and past resources.
