Chicago FD OFI

Here's the latest information on the CFD OFI units. They are now stationed out of Engine 16’s firehouse, located at 53 E Pershing Road. The OFI Headquarters is also based there. They've taken over the South EMS Division side of the building. I believe the South Side EMS Division has since moved to Engine 84’s location.

Below is the current list of OFI units:

• OFI 4-6-6 – 2015 Ford Explorer (FDB604)
• OFI 4-6-7 – 2018 Ford E350 (FDB622)
• OFI 4-6-8 – 2015 Ford Explorer (FDB606)
• OFI 4-6-9 – 2018 Ford E350 (FDB625)

These vehicles are part of the Chicago Fire Department's Office of the Fire Commissioner (OFI) and are used for various administrative and operational purposes. The new setup seems to be more streamlined, with a clearer division of responsibilities between the OFI and the EMS divisions.
