These awards celebrate the individuals, projects, and technologies that have made outstanding contributions to the field. AREA Artist of the Year: Michael Khoo, 3D Visualizer

Based in Melbourne, Australia, 3D visualizer Michael Khoo was honored as the AREA Artist of the Year for his continuous creative contributions to the AREA gallery and his active role in the community. His futuristic sci-fi interpretations of design visualization reflect an incredible level of imagination and technical excellence. Michael’s work consistently captivates audiences and inspires others in the field.

Design Visualization Community Leader: Nigel Hunt, CEO, SiNi Software

Nigel Hunt, CEO of SiNi Software, was recognized as this year’s Design Visualization Community Leader for his dedication to fostering diversity and supporting the future of the industry. With over 30 years of experience in architecture, broadcast, film, and VFX, Nigel has been a strong advocate for mentoring emerging talent. Based in London, UK, he organizes 3ds Max events, edits 3Disciple Magazine, and actively promotes collaboration across all 3ds Max user communities.

Creative Community Leader: Brian Brecht, Art Manager, Epic Games

Brian Brecht, Art Manager at Epic Games, was awarded the Creative Community Leader title for his ongoing efforts in production planning, artist development, and workflow optimization for both film and game industries. With nearly 30 years of experience in Chicago’s film and commercial sectors, as well as San Francisco’s VFX and animation communities, Brian has been a driving force in shaping industry standards. He is also an active member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences SciTech committee and frequently speaks at major industry conferences like the Game Developers Conference.

ECTFE Products

ECTFE plates/rods are a 1:1 alternating copolymer of ethylene and chlorotrifluoroethylene with a melting point of 464F and a density of 1.68g/cc (g/cc). The material has good performance from low temperature to 330T, and its strength, wear resistance and creep resistance are much higher than PTEE, FEP and PFA.
It is resistant to most corrosive chemicals and organic solvents at room and high temperatures. It has a low dielectric constant (2.6) and stable performance over a wide range of temperatures and frequencies. ECTFE does not ignite and prevents the flame from spreading and will break down into hard carbon when exposed to flame.
ECTFE can be made into granular materials for molding and extrusion and powder products for rotary molding, fluidized bed finishing and electrostatic finishing. It can be processed into foam-like products by chemical foaming method in traditional extrusion equipment, and it is not suitable for computer wire. Semi-finished products are membrane, plate, tube and single fiber. ECTFE is sold by Ausimont USA under the brand name Halar. In the field of wire and cable, the most important application is used for pressurization cable, public transportation vehicle cable. Fire alarm cable, anode protection cable. Injection molding products are tower packing, pump parts, connectors, wire terminals, filter casing. ECTFE pipe applications include optical fiber tubing, unsupported tubing, steel pipe and reinforced plastic pipe lining.
