SolidWorks Simulation Application in Motor Mounting Bracket Design

Cantilever bracket is a relatively common motor mounting bracket. The motor model is different, and the structure and mechanical performance of the bracket are also different. In order to improve product development speed and safety of use, we use today's mainstream CAE three-dimensional analysis software for mechanical analysis of the stent to replace the traditional sample test, greatly improving the design efficiency and accuracy.
1. Mounting pattern of motor and bracket The two diagrams show the installation position of the motor and the bracket in the whole product, in which the motor is a low speed AC motor and the weight is 49KG.


2. The establishment and mechanical analysis of the stent body 2.1 The establishment of the support part entity According to the actual production requirements, the stent is welded by several plates, the part size is designed by the overall size of the product, and the material is selected by Q235 ordinary carbon steel. 2.2 The mechanical analysis of the stent The basic idea of ​​the finite and infeasible is to discrete a continuous domain into a finite number of units and connect equivalent groups through a finite number of nodes. SolidWorks Simulation uses finite element ideas to analyze the product's mechanics. . First, the parts are divided into a limited number of small triangles.

After the model meshing is successful, run the analysis software and get three different sets of data. We use these three sets of data to determine whether the parts meet the design conditions and improve them.

From the above data, we can see that under the known load, the maximum stress area of ​​the part is less than the yield strength of the part, so we initially think that the mechanical properties of the bracket meet the design requirements. In order to further understand the performance of the parts, the safety factor of the parts under working conditions was analyzed. The results showed that the minimum safety factor of the part was 5.6, which was higher than the usual experience value of 3.0. Through the final analysis, the bracket meets the design requirements.
