The quality comes from a hundred years of history

Navistar’s history can be traced back to 1831, when its founder, MGM, invented the mechanical harvester and launched the industrial revolution, formerly known as McCormick and International Harvester.

Today, Navistar is the largest medium diesel engine, heavy truck and school bus producer in North America. Its brands include International commercial vehicles and military trucks, MaxxForce diesel engines, IC school buses and commercial buses, and Workhorse RVs.

Tony Sutton mentioned that the "K-series" models produced by Navistar were introduced to China in 1953. At that time, the Renminbi one-penny banknotes were printed with this model. The first car produced by China FAW, Liberation Trucks, was also based on the development of this model. Navistar also operated the Chinese market 50 to 60 years ago, selling gas engines and generators. In the 1980s, Navistar experienced a difficult period. In addition to trucks and engines, most of the company’s other business units were sold. Since the past 30 years or so, Navistar’s business focus has been on trucks. And on the engine.

Currently, Navistar has factories and trucks and engines in many countries and regions in the world, such as South Africa, Australia, and Brazil. Tony Sutton told reporters of China Truck Net that South America mainly produces engines. The engines that are sold in China are basically from At its plant in Sao Paulo, Brazil, it mainly produces 3.2L and 4.8L engines. This is also due to the fact that Brazil and China are close to each other, similar in fuel oil and work environment, and can better adapt to China's emission needs. More than 90% of the engines produced in the production base of the Jianghuai Navistar have been realized. NVC, Navistar and JAC Navistar jointly guarantee the quality and cost of the engine.

The introduction of mature production technology and technology research and development into the Chinese market ensures that the engine quality of JAC Navistar achieves consistency in production.

In Jianghuai Navistar, we can see that the flexible manufacturing center in the factory has six CNC machining lines, automatic assembly lines, automatic spraying lines with processing precision of 1 micron, and high resolution up to 0.01 micron. Precision measuring equipment.

JAC Navistar also has a highly efficient and reliable hot test line. At present, there are 11 hot test benches. The hot test bed is mainly provided by gantry body, hydraulic control device, exhaust device, engine clamping device, and cooling water supply. Circulation device, measuring device (including display, storage, printing device), fuel supply device, test car, electrical control system (including DC supply device, starting ignition device, electrical control cabinet) and other components.

The assembly line adopts the MES engine tracking system, which integrates security scan code, RFID wireless tag tracking, ERP system, post tablet computer information prompts, for the production process efficiency guarantee and quality control, production line data collection, and modern information management Provide software support. Fully promote the TS quality management system. For the first time, cold test tests are used on the diesel engine production line to detect and analyze faults before the finished product goes offline. This ensures quality while improving efficiency. The engine assembly uses a 100% hot test to provide a solid foundation for product quality assurance. In terms of production automation standards and product processing accuracy standards, the JAC Navistar engine manufacturing base is at the world-class level.

Jianghuai Navistar was established on August 23, 2012, with a designed annual production capacity of 250,000 units. The product was born as an IV product. Tony Sutton mentioned that the company hopes to allow users to use engines produced by Jianghuai Navistar, and The user will be given the maximum possible discount in the early stage, allowing the user to feel Jianghuai Navistar and feel the superior quality of the Maisfu engine.

Not only that, Navistar also cooperated with JAC in foreign countries. According to Tony Sutton, JAC sold trucks and other products in Mexico, and cooperated with North America, and Jianghuai Automobile will be seen in more countries in the future. And the figure of JAC Navistar.

The product line currently covers 2.8 liters, 3.2 liters, 4.8 liters of Jianghuai Navistar, plans to bring 7.2 litres of products next year to meet the upcoming national V emissions demand, and will also introduce 9.3L and 13L engines into China in the future.
