> "I thought I’d share some photos of the Hubbard Street fire. There are many well-known images of this event, but a few of these might not be as widely seen. The first image shows the front of the building before it collapsed. I believe it was taken facing north from under the railroad bridge. The second photo captures Snorkel 1 positioned in the alley. Images three and four depict the ruins, and I think they were taken facing south from the Grand Avenue bridge.
An interesting detail is the fifth image, which is a close-up of part of the third photo. It shows an Ahrens-Fox engine supplying water to the high-pressure rig.
