Process Industrial Automation Refining Production Process Major Project Approvals

[China Instrument Network Industry Focus] Recently, Professor Ding Jinliang, State Key Laboratory of Integrated Automation of Process Industry at Northeastern University, participated in the 2015 National Natural Science Foundation of China's major project “Basic Theory and Key Technologies for Refining the Oil Production Process”. Officially approved the project.


Prof. Ding Jinliang is the subject person in charge of the topic “Research and Implementation Technology for Global Collaborative Optimization and Operation of Refining Production Processes”. This is the first time that young teachers in the laboratory have been responsible for major projects (subjects).

This project starts from the actual needs of realizing the global optimization of the production process, takes the refining process as the actual industrial background, and based on the deep analysis of the characteristics and key scientific issues of the global collaborative operation optimization problem of the refining process, adopts discipline crossover and discipline integration methods to control Combining with optimization theory, artificial intelligence, mobile computing, applied mathematics, and management technology, we have researched the theory and implementation technology for achieving global optimisation of the entire production process. It not only provides the theoretical basis for solving the main scientific problems and difficulties in the overall optimization and control of the refining process, but also has universal scientific significance for solving the problems of control and optimization of other complex systems.

About the Process Industrial Laboratory The predecessor of the State Key Laboratory of Industrial Integrated Automation is the Industrial Automation Teaching and Research Office led by Professor Shiran Lang (1955) and the Academician of Control Theory (1970) led by Academician Zhang Xi. It is positioned to carry out basic research and applied basic research in the field of integrated automation in process industries, and is geared to the major needs of the development of national process industries, and solves the key scientific and technological issues of realizing the green and comprehensive automation of process industries. Through mechanism innovation, the organic integration of “Key Laboratory—National Metallurgical Automation Engineering Technology Research Center—863 Industrialization Base” will be promoted and the transformation of scientific research achievements will be promoted to form a complete innovation system of “basic theoretical research—technological innovation—transformation of research results”.
