·In 2015, China’s passenger car broke 20 million vehicles

Last year, China's auto production and sales reached 24,503,300 units and 2,459,760 units, up 3.25% and 4.68% year-on-year. Among them, the sales volume of passenger cars reached 21,146,300 units, an increase of 7.3% year-on-year. This is the first time that the sales of passenger cars in China has exceeded 20 million “marks”.
Affected by the purchase tax reduction policy for 1.6L and below displacement models, the production and sales of passenger vehicles began to rebound in September 2015. In particular, the sales volume of passenger vehicles in December reached 2,442,100 units, a year-on-year growth rate of 18.27%.
“The rapid growth in the fourth quarter shows that the rigid demand for automobile consumption in China is still strong, and it is the driving force for the growth of the automobile market in the future.” Dong Yang, executive vice president of the China Automobile Association, told reporters.
"This year is the first year of the '13th Five-Year Plan'. As an important pillar of the national economy, the automobile industry still has a large room for growth." Wu Shaoming, Secretary General of the China Automobile Association, introduced the reporter.
The China Automobile Association expects that the annual sales volume of Chinese cars in 2016 will reach 26.04 million, of which domestic sales are 25.4 million and exports are 640,000, an increase of about 6%.
The reporter learned that after the structural adjustment in 2015, auto companies generally plan to exert their strength in the auto market in 2016. Under the pull of many new cars, auto companies expect a warmer trend in the market this year.
Nearly 70% of passenger cars under 1.6 liters
In 2015, the production and sales volume of automobiles exceeded 24.5 million units, a record high in the world, and ranked first in the world for seven consecutive years. However, 2015 is also the third consecutive year of decline in the growth rate of China's automobile production and sales. Especially from April to August last year, the automobile market showed a simultaneous negative growth.
In September last year, the relevant departments issued a “bailout” policy for automobiles, and started the policy of halving the purchase tax for models of 1.6L and below. Since the auto market price system and product system have been reconstructed in the past three years, the models that entered the subsidy list cover most of the joint venture brand models and some luxury cars, benefiting from a wider range, resulting in the production and sales of the auto market in September last year. Pick up.
According to the data of China Automobile Association, the sales of passenger cars of 1.6 liters and below in 2015 were 14.408 million, an increase of 10.38% over the same period of the previous year, which was higher than the overall growth rate of passenger vehicles, accounting for 68.6% of the sales volume of passenger vehicles.
“The 1.6-liter and below purchase tax reduction policy promotes automobile growth and contributes 124.6% to the growth of total vehicle sales. It has played a very guiding role in energy conservation and emission reduction and promotion of consumption of small-displacement vehicles.” Dong Yang to “Daily Economic News reporter introduced.
In 2015, the sales volume of passenger cars reached 21,146,300 units, an increase of 7.3% year-on-year. This is the first time that the sales of passenger cars in China has exceeded 20 million “marks”. Affected by the slowdown in macroeconomic growth, commercial vehicles continued to decline in 2015, completing production and sales of 3.4339 million units and 3,451,300 units, down 10% and 9% respectively from the previous year.
In terms of new energy vehicles, 2015 was defined as the “first year” of China's new energy vehicle marketization. The production and sales increased significantly compared with the previous one, and surpassed the US to become the world's largest new energy vehicle market.
According to the statistics of the China Automobile Association, in 2015, the production of new energy vehicles was 340,500 units, with sales of 331,100 units, a year-on-year increase of 3.3 times and 3.4 times respectively. Among them, the production and sales of pure electric vehicles were 254,600 and 247,500 respectively, up 4.2 times and 4.5 times respectively. The production and sales of plug-in hybrid vehicles were 85,800 and 83,600 respectively, up 1.9 times and 1.8 times.
It is expected that the car will slip into a growth engine in 2016.
According to statistics from the China Automobile Association, the sales volume of cars last year was 11.72 million, down 5.33% year-on-year; the sales of SUVs was 6.20 million, up 52.39% year-on-year. However, in 2016, according to the expectations of the China Automobile Association, the structural reform of the automobile market has also entered a “trick year”. In 2016, the car continued to show a 5% decline, while the SUV continued its high-speed growth trend; With the slowdown, the overall market continued to decline, with a negative growth of around 5% year-on-year.
Xu Haidong, deputy secretary-general of the China Automobile Association, said that the favorable factors affecting the automobile market in 2016 include: the “supply-side reform” of the automobile further promotes the rigid demand, the halving of the 1.6-liter purchase tax and the promotion of new energy vehicles, and other policies to promote demand and regional markets. It is expected to further release the growth potential, the continuation of SUV growth trend, road construction and urban construction to support the development of commercial vehicles. Unfavorable factors include the continued downward pressure on the macro economy, the policy of second-hand car circulation, urban purchase restriction, 3,000 yuan energy-saving benefit subsidy in 2015, and the import and export market demand continues to decline.
In summary, in 2016, with the changes in consumer demand, the structure of automobile products will also be adjusted. Passenger cars are still the main force of market consumption, but the sales growth of SUV and MPV models has declined slightly, with more than 50 in 2015. Compared with the growth of %, it is expected that the growth rate of SUV will drop to 36% in 2016; while the growth of MPV sales will return to around 8%, the market competition will further intensify; the overall growth rate of passenger cars in 2016 is expected to be around 7.8%.
In terms of new energy vehicles, under the strong promotion of policies, the China Automobile Association expects that the sales of new energy vehicles will continue to maintain rapid growth in 2016, with sales expected to be around 700,000 units, which has doubled compared with last year.
Dong Yang told reporters that in the new energy vehicle market, the construction of supporting facilities such as charging piles will make breakthroughs in 2016, so new energy vehicles will continue to grow rapidly.
