June 18th marked an unusual day for Delfast as they embarked on an ambitious experiment to test the power capabilities of their electric bike model, the Top 1.0. The idea was to see if this e-bike, weighing around 1.7 tons (or 3400 pounds), could be tugged by the Delfast TOP 1.0 at Kyiv Chaika Airfield.

While the trial didn't yield the desired outcome, it proved to be highly valuable for the team. Designed primarily for long-distance rides, the Delfast TOP 1.0 wasn't built to handle such heavy-duty tasks. This insight provided by the experiment highlighted some limitations but also opened doors for future possibilities.

Interestingly, it was noted that the motor of the e-bike had sufficient power to move the aircraft. However, due to the activation of the safety shutdown system, the bike remained stationary. As CEO Daniel Tonkopiy explained, "I'm satisfied. We've achieved both positive and negative outcomes. Positively, the e-bike does pull the aircraft, even uphill. Negatively, it couldn't move the aircraft. The electronics shut down the engine at startup. Our aim now is to identify and disable this safety lock and return to Chaika Airfield to attempt moving the Yak-18T again. Perhaps next time, we'll manage to shift something as massive as a Boeing."

This experiment has sparked new avenues of exploration for Delfast. By venturing into these uncharted territories, they hope to develop innovative models tailored to various professions, including delivery personnel and farmers who often deal with loads exceeding 1 ton (2000 pounds).

The aviation community showed great interest in this endeavor. Everyone present was thrilled about the potential of acquiring such unique vehicles for professional use.
