SAN RAFAEL, Calif.—(BUSINESS WIRE)—Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ:ADSK), a leader in 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software, has reached a final agreement with Graitec's shareholders to acquire specific technology assets, including Graitec’s Advance Steel and Advance Concrete product lines, along with the associated workforce. This acquisition aims to strengthen Autodesk's current offerings within structural engineering and broaden its suite of tools for Building Information Modeling (BIM), specifically targeting structural fabrication and detailing. Through this deal, Autodesk plans to continue spearheading the shift toward BIM and enhancing model-based processes for structural engineers, detailers, fabricators, and contractors offering design, analysis, detailing, and production services. The transaction is anticipated to conclude in the fourth quarter of Autodesk’s fiscal year 2014, subject to standard closing requirements. Financial specifics of the agreement remain undisclosed.

Their Advance Steel and Advance Concrete products deliver comprehensive modeling, detailing, and fabrication solutions designed to support BIM-driven steel and reinforced concrete workflows. Graitec will continue selling and supporting Advance Steel and Advance Concrete, as well as maintaining its other structural engineering products.
