Autodesk expands presence in on-set production, closes acquisition of production management solution PIX

  • Autodesk's acquisition of PIX is now complete.
  • This acquisition strengthens Autodesk's role in the early stages of production, streamlining data sharing throughout the entire production pipeline and cutting down on inefficiencies.
  • Bringing PIX's expertise and extensive network together with Autodesk’s resources and advanced cloud technologies will lead to enhanced customer experiences.

Autodesk has successfully acquired PIX, a leading production management solution.

For a long time, efficiency has been a critical challenge within the Media & Entertainment (M&E) industry. Assets frequently need to be redone, data is stored in incompatible formats, and crucial information can easily get lost amidst complex file systems. These problems result in significant rework for our clients, eating up valuable time and resources.

To address some of these challenges, we’re developing Flow, Autodesk’s industry cloud specifically designed for M&E. Our goal for Flow is straightforward—unifying data, workflows, and teams in the cloud to promote smoother collaboration across the entire production pipeline—but achieving this vision is far from easy.

Initially, we realized that we needed to go beyond post-production, where our content creation and production management tools excel. A large portion of the data and essential information our customers depend on is created on set. However, due to the historical disconnect between these two phases of production, much of this data fails to reach downstream processes, resulting in significant inefficiencies.

About two years ago, we ventured into on-set production, moving upstream to create stronger connections and streamline processes across the entire production chain—a bold move for Autodesk and a key component of our plan to bring production into the digital age. With Moxion, we’ve made significant progress by exploring ways to connect on-set activities with post-production and designing more cohesive workflows.

Fast forward to today, and with the official closure of the PIX acquisition, we're stepping up our efforts on set, bringing studios along with us on this journey. Adding PIX to Autodesk will simplify the sharing of on-set data with studio executives and production teams, encouraging greater collaboration and bridging gaps in fragmented workflows. Integrating PIX’s production management solutions with Flow will ensure smoother data flow to all stakeholders and help reduce inefficiencies.

By merging the expertise and robust network of the PIX team with Autodesk’s resources and cloud technology capabilities—and integrating it all through Flow—we can enhance customer experiences and revolutionize how movies and TV shows are produced.

I’m excited to welcome the talented PIX team to Autodesk. Together, we’ll keep pushing boundaries in the production process, fueling future growth, and empowering our customers to create anything they imagine.

Please note that the anticipated impacts of this acquisition are contingent upon Autodesk’s ability to fully integrate PIX in every aspect. For more details on the risks associated with our forward-looking statements, refer to our press release.

As we move forward, it’s clear that this acquisition marks a pivotal moment for both companies. PIX brings not only innovative tools but also a deep understanding of the unique needs of creators in the field. By leveraging their strengths alongside our own, we aim to redefine the standards of production management and collaboration in the M&E industry. This partnership opens doors to countless possibilities, allowing us to offer solutions that truly meet the evolving demands of modern media production.

Looking ahead, I’m confident that the combined efforts of the PIX and Autodesk teams will yield groundbreaking advancements. From improving real-time communication between on-set personnel and studio decision-makers to creating seamless workflows that adapt to changing project requirements, we’re committed to delivering value at every stage of the production process. It’s an exciting time for everyone involved, and I’m thrilled to be part of this transformative journey.

Aero Injection Mould

Aero parts mold making and injection molding capabilities cover many aspects to meet the manufacturing needs of complex and high-precision plastic products such as air seats mould , aero hand rest mould.airplane wings parts .aero structural components.aero functional parts , and airline tableware. The following is a detailed introduction to the mold making capabilities of Aero plastic products:
