Benzene The Asian spot price of benzene fell sharply during the current period. FOB Korean market, the second half of August / September first half of the intention to buy and sell cargoes is roughly between 900 and 940 US dollars / ton. The sales price of Singapore's offshore market is $940/ton. A shipment of goods in the first half of September was sold at US$888 per ton. In the subsequent August/September, the quotation of cargo and cargo fell to 890 US dollars/ton, and the bid price was 860 to 870 US dollars/ton. In the second half of August, there were two transactions of cargo and cargo, and the transaction price was US$870/ton. A batch of cargo in the first half of August was sold at US$875/ton, while the other batch of cargoes in the first half of September was sold at US$865/ton.
Toluene The spot price of toluene fell below US$700/ton (FOB Korea/CFR China) due to the decline in crude oil prices and hydrocarbon market prices. As the market outlook is unknown, the transaction price in the domestic market is still lower than the international market price by 20-30 US dollars / ton. A batch of August cargo was sold at a price of USD 690/ton, and a group of cargoes was sold at USD 695/ton. A batch of cargoes in the second half of August was traded at a price of 655 US dollars/ton. China's domestic market price began to decline by 50 yuan/ton, East China Kuti transaction price was 6650~6700 yuan/ton, and South China was 6750~6850 yuan/ton.
Isomerization of Xylene Due to the sharp drop in the prices of other aromatics in Asia and the weakness in crude oil prices, the spot price of isomerized xylenes fell by US$10 to US$25 per ton in this period. Due to the weak demand and the wide spread between buyers and sellers, transactions in the Northeast Asian market were deserted. A Chinese trader's offer for a group of August shipments was US$720/tonne (CFR Korea) and the corresponding bid was US$695/tonne. A Thai manufacturer sold a batch of 5,000 tons of cargo in the first half of August at a price of 700 to 705 US dollars per ton (FOB Thailand). The buyer was a trader in Singapore. A Thai supplier sold 5,000 tons of cargo to Korean traders for US$710/tonne (FOB Thailand).
Solvent xylene Asian solvent xylene prices fell by 5-20 US dollars / ton. China's import market remained sluggish due to weak downstream demand and crude oil prices. The current Chinese import market reached only one transaction. A Philippine manufacturer sold 3,000 tons of cargoes to China in the second half of July at a price of US$700/tonne (CFR South China). The intention to purchase in the second half of July/early July is 650-660 U.S. dollars per ton (CFR East China). China's domestic market prices fell by 100 to 200 yuan/ton.
Paraxylene Paraxylene spot price fell slightly by $25/tonne. The current market transactions were relatively active and there were several deals reached. Shipments were sold at prices of US$835-855/tonne (CFR China Taiwan) and US$850/tonne (CFR China), both in August. Chinese users and a trader bought some August cargo at a price of about 850-860 US$/tonne (CFR main port). The demand from Chinese users is strong because of concerns that the rise in crude oil prices may drive the spot price of xylene and the August contract price in Asia to rise.

Ethylene The buyers and sellers of the ethylene market in Asia have started fierce competition. The price of $1,000/ton has become the dividing line between the two sides of the competition. Both parties are unwilling to make concessions. Some transactions were concluded at US$970/tonne (CFR Indonesia) and US$1,000/tonne (CFR Japan), and Chinese buyers’ bids were US$1,020/tonne (CFR). A FOB Korea transaction in Northeast Asia was reached at a price of US$950/t. A batch of 2,300 tons of cargo in the first half of August was sold at a price of US$950/ton (FOB Korea) to a Japanese trader. Since South Korean sellers are still on the sidelines, there are very few FOB deals reached in this period. A bid from a non-polymer producer up to US$970/tonne (CFR China Taiwan) has appeared. Southeast Asia: In this issue, Japanese traders snapped up all available ethylene cargoes. A trader bought a batch of September shipments for US$990/tonne (FOB Malaysia) at a purchase price of US$990-1,000/tonne (FOB Thailand).
Propylene The Asian propylene market price fell back to this level after falling below the key price of $1,000/tonne (CFR) 6 to 7 weeks ago. The price of ethylene in Southeast Asia is lagging behind due to the limited buying power of regional buyers for high-priced cargo and a large number of deep-water cargoes. Northeast Asia: A group of 3,000 tons arrived in the US at the beginning of August arrived at US$940/tonne (CFR); another 2,000 tons arrived at the beginning of September and was sold at a price of US$970/tonne (CFR) by a Western trader. These deepwater cargoes will arrive in August and September. A batch of 3,000 tons of cargo delivered in July in India has been postponed to August delivery, leading to the interruption of butadiene supply in India. In late September/early October, the arrival price of cargo arrived at US$1,350-1,370/tonne (CFR Northeast Asia), but the buyer’s purchase price is expected to be US$1300-1,330/tonne (CFR Northeast Asia). In China, the butadiene ex-factory price remained stable at the level of 13,000 to 13,500 yuan/ton. In South Korea, the contract cargo price in July has been determined to be US$1132 to 1,323 per ton (delivered price). Southeast Asian butadiene spot market transactions were light in this period due to stable contract supply.
