A few photos from the third alarm fire at 976 Tara Court in Wheaton today. The fire originated in the back of the building and quickly spread up the exterior wall and into the attic area. This was a dead-end street, so the second engine had to pull a long hose line, roughly 1000 feet, to reach a hydrant. All units had to carry their tools and equipment from the staging area near Blanchard through sweltering 98-degree heat.

It was a challenging scene for everyone involved, especially given the oppressive heat. The firefighters worked tirelessly to contain the blaze and protect neighboring structures. It's always tough when you have limited access like that, but they managed to get it under control despite the obstacles.
I really admire how these crews handle such difficult situations, especially in extreme weather. The dedication and teamwork make all the difference when it comes to keeping communities safe. Thanks to John for capturing these moments and sharing them with us.
