Thanksgiving is one of the most cherished holidays in our country, and here at AEI Corporation, we take it very seriously. While others may rush to put up Christmas decorations, we’re still savoring the spirit of gratitude that defines this special day. Thanksgiving is more than just a meal—it’s a time for family, reflection, and creating lasting memories.
That’s why we’ve dedicated ourselves to crafting high-quality grills that bring people together. Our PGS A Series grills are designed with power, durability, and beauty in mind—whether you choose a propane or natural gas model, you can trust that you're getting an American-made grill built to last. These grills aren’t just tools; they’re essential for making your Thanksgiving celebration even more meaningful.
The PGS A Series is perfect for year-round use. With weather-resistant materials and smart storage options, you can enjoy cooking outdoors even on less-than-ideal days. Plus, the modular design makes maintenance and repairs simple, so your grill stays in top condition for years to come.
To help you make this Thanksgiving extra special, we’re sharing a delicious smoked turkey leg recipe that works perfectly with your PGS A Series grill. Cooking outside not only frees up space in your kitchen but also adds a new dimension of flavor and fun to your holiday meal.
### Smoked Turkey Legs with PGS A Series Grills
This recipe has been tweaked to give it a bit more kick while keeping the traditional flavors intact. If you prefer a milder version, feel free to adjust the spices accordingly. The key is to let the smoky aroma from the wood chips infuse the meat with rich, deep flavor.
**Ingredients:**
- ½ cup melted butter
- 2 tsp sea salt
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2 tsp seasoned salt
- 1¼ tsp paprika
- 1½ tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp crushed pepper
- ½ tsp dried basil
- ½ tsp Cayenne pepper
- 1 turkey leg (1½ pounds each)
- 3 cups soaked applewood chips
**Notes:**
Our version is about twice as spicy as the original. We doubled the pepper and used crushed peppercorns for a bolder flavor. You can also experiment with other wood chips like cherry, peach, maple, or pecan for different flavor profiles.
**Directions:**
1. In a bowl, mix the first nine ingredients with the melted butter. Brush the turkey legs with the mixture and let them rest for 4 minutes.
2. Add your chosen wood chips to the grill (see below for smoking packet instructions). Place the turkey legs on the rack and cook over indirect medium heat for 40–45 minutes, checking the internal temperature until it reaches 175°F. Turn every 4–6 minutes.
**How to Make a Smoking Packet:**
Take a square of heavy-duty aluminum foil, add a handful of soaked wood chips, fold the foil, and poke a few holes in the top to let the smoke escape. Place the packet over direct heat.
No Thanksgiving feast is complete without cranberry sauce. Here's a quick and easy recipe that pairs perfectly with your grilled turkey:
