This is from Steve Redick:
On Tuesday evening, there was a fire at 100 block of N. Wisner. I arrived to find workers on the roof reporting the fire. As I got there, the alarm was sounding for evacuation, and it seemed like all the interior searches had already been completed. Fire was visible from the rear attic area, but it was hard to get a good shot due to the setting sun and limited access. The tower ladder was deployed, along with some exterior handlines, and the exposures were well protected. I finally got a good look at the North Maine rebuild, and Desplaines had Engine 1 (which I believe might be a spare) working a large-diameter supply line to Park Ridge. The fire didn’t last long, but it caused significant damage, with a large portion of the roof burned through. I’ve uploaded the video here.
