Autodesk has just unveiled its 2014 lineup of software and cloud services aimed at revolutionizing civil infrastructure planning, design, construction, and management. By accelerating the adoption of Building Information Modeling (BIM) for infrastructure, Autodesk is paving the way for smarter, more efficient processes across the industry. Unlike conventional CAD-based workflows, InfraWorks empowers civil engineers and planners to design within the actual physical context, streamlining the management of large-scale infrastructure models. With ReCap, civil engineers and designers can leverage cloud power to effortlessly incorporate, refine, verify, and document their design processes based on existing environments, allowing them to work with a realistic model rather than a blank slate.
